The Sports Marketing Group Named Social Media Agency for Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber

London-based agency wins competitive multi-agency pitch to lead social media for Swiss-based F1 outfit

Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber revealed exciting new team identity earlier this year 

This marks the first social media collaboration for SMG with a Formula 1 outfit, having already delivered highly successful social and digital campaigns for the likes of the Dakar Rally, F1 Qatar Grand Prix, MotoGP Qatar, Saudi Arabian, Azerbaijan & Singapore F1 Grands Prix as well as the newest premium FIA Grade II racing facility in the United States, Flatrock Motorsport Park and Motorclub. 

SMG has been tasked with devising and implementing a new strategic direction for the recently rebranded, Swiss-based F1 team – one that reflects its exciting new identity and partnership with Stake, the world’s leading betting, entertainment, and lifestyle brand, and the innovative, community-driven streaming platform,

The partnership kicked off in spectacular style with the headline-grabbing Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber car launch at London’s Guild Hall on February 5th. Since then, the opening weeks of SMG’s working relationship with Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber have already seen a marked change in tonality and style for the team’s social media accounts, resulting in some notable early success, including:

  • 37% increase in overall engagement on all channels compared to the same period in 2023 (Feb 1 – March 2024) 
  • Content interactions on Instagram have risen by 101% since Feb 1st.
  • TikTok views have risen by 290% since Feb 1st.
  • Content engagement on all channels risen by 132% since Feb 1st.
